How to Settle Your Baby

5 Younger babies need more sleep, usually 16-18 hours of sleep a day of normal time, so make sure you have enough sleep. As they grow, sleep time can be reduced by 1.5 hours every 3 months during the first year.

6 Sometimes, a baby can get unsettled again after you solve them. One reason may be that they will not resolve themselves. For example, when you solve them, while wearing them and place them in a crib, they can become unsettled again. In this case, you may have to wait awhile before you put them in a crib.
